Out-of-Town Visitors With Disabilities
ACCESS Service and Visitor Eligibility
ACCESS is a door-to-door, advance reservation, shared-ride paratransit service which
is available throughout Allegheny County (Pittsburgh) from 6 a.m. until midnight.*
Visitors with disabilities who are unable to use Pittsburgh Regional Transit’s fixed route
service, either all of the time or under some conditions, are eligible to use ACCESS
ADA Paratransit service for up to 21 days in a 365 day period.
Application Process
Visitors with disabilities must apply in advance. Information can be found on the
ACCESS website (myaccessride.com) or by calling (412) 562-5353 or TTY 711. Visitors
are encouraged to apply well in advance of arrival, but upon receipt of a completed
application, the visitor eligibility process will be completed in one business day.
Visitors must provide verification of residence outside the jurisdiction. If the disability is
apparent, no other verification is required. If the disability is not apparent, verification of
disability must be submitted with the application. This can be from a health care or

another jurisdiction.
A completed application and supporting verification can be mailed to the address above
or scanned and e-mailed to ada@accesstransys.com.
